Bentley Trust (Malta) Limited Names Emily Burgess as CEO of Malta office

Bentley Trust (Malta) Limited, the wholly owned subsidiary of wealth management group Bentley Reid, has appointed Emily Burgess as Chief Executive Officer of its Malta operation.

Emily joined Bentley Trust (Malta) Limited in 2017, where she was named as Trust Manager, becoming a Director in 2019.

Emily brings over 25 years’ experience in financial services and operations across the UK, Malta, the UAE and Turkey, including 16 years specialising in the trust and fiduciary sector.  Her career reflects deep expertise in trust administration, governance and regulatory compliance within international environments.

She holds an MBA in Business Management from Liverpool John Moores University and is a full Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

This follows the news that Malcolm Becker is stepping down as CEO, a role he has held since 2003. Malcolm has also been Chairman of the BR Trust Group since 2014.

Malcolm established the STEP Malta Branch in 2007 and acted as Chairman until 2013.  Malcolm still remains heavily active on the local STEP Executive Committee and has organised 5 STEP International Conferences in Malta.
